I guess they don't like that all BlackBerry data is encrypted and routed thru RIM servers in Canada. Almost all countries have some form of "Lawful Interception" that allows police to track/monitor "bad guys". It's built into the cellular system (but only accessible by police, not the network operator). Read more here.
