Is there a way to turn off the camera "click" (and video noise as well) on the TREO 650? I suppose it's there to make the PDA sound like a mechanical camera, but it's kind of noisy and I'd rather turn it off.

    Thanks. Bill Reid

I'm to lazy to walk out to my car and grab my demo treo, have you tried sliding the ringer switch on the top of the phone to silent?

I have an older cannon digital camera and it makes that clicking noise, I too find it annoying.

But the designers may have been pressured to keep the click to keep the perverts in check...

in the camera settings there is a spot to shut it off.

so while using the cam,hit the top right button and the settings will open up. then look for the shutter sounds

Wow. You guys are good (and fast). Both methods worked. Thanks.

For my next easy newbie question, please see the new Palm OS thread with my name. Maybe I'll be this lucky once again!
