    Interesting article

....His concerns were sparked by the story of Sidd Bikkannavar, an American-born Nasa engineer, who flew home from a trip to Chile last month. On arrival in Houston, he was detained by the border police and, by his own account, put under great pressure to hand over the passcode to his smartphone, despite the fact that the device had been issued to him by Nasa.....

Yes, disturbing to say the least. I've been considering backing up and factory resetting the phone before crossing the border.

I was planning on leaving my phone at home and taking my hubby's, which has nothing in it except his contact list and is not passcode locked anyway.

A number of articles are popping up now since the story of the NASA engineer.

I only have three apps on my phone. My bank app, since it allows check deposit by photo. Some contractors I work for don't have direct deposit. The Air France app only because it has a place for a photo copy of your passport, and a casino game. I could wipe those on my phone before my next trip.
