I have a v600 that is loaded with t-mobile firmware. The phone is unlocked. Im using iwireless as a carrier (an affiliate of t-mobile). I cannot configure the t-zones to run my internet service. I cant find a screen to enter my gprs settings. I searched forums no answer. Iwireless says they cant help me. My question is do i need to flash my phone or something to get rid of the t-mobile branding? I have my settings from my old phone I just cant access the setup menu on the v600? I went to the t-mobile site and played with the configurator program but it dont work for me.:confused:I can send and recieve calls ok. My text works but i have no net or picture messaging. I read that you cant change the settings but im sure you can??
    Any help is appreciated
    Thanks Jason

Oh yea when i go to t-zones it gives me an error (gprs network is not available) Then it says (attempt direct data call) That doesnt work either.
    Thank you!

Unfortunately T-Mobile is known to hard lock their settings for GPRS access so that they cannot readily be altered even after the phone has been subsidy unlocked to use a different carrier's SIM card.

I believe the only solution is re-flashing the phone to remove the T-Mobile firmware and replace it with the generic one.

If it were my phone I would flex the phone with an unbranded/unlocked flex. This should enable the web sessions menu, and remove all the T-Mobile branding as well. This can be challenging for those new to modding though.

I thought there was a menu code where you entered a bunch of numbers in the phone quickly and the web sessions menu popped up, but I can't find it. Anyone else here know it?

I have some experience flashing phones. A few years ago i had nextel and i remember flashing my i730 iden phone. Would the process be similar? Where would i get an unbranded flex for the phone?

I am not familiar with flashing procedures for Nextel phones, but I would imagine it would be similar. Attached is an unbranded, unlocked, Motorola V600 flex file.

Here is just about the best tutorial on how to flash & flex a Motorola V600: This is the guide that got me modding Motorolas. Also read up in my modding thread (linked in my signature), there is a lot of good information there too.

No problem. I'll delete that attachment if it doesn't work.
