trouble connecting my Rant to my comp...

    new to this board, but i got my samsung rant about two weeks ago, i hooked it up to my PC, and connected it, but my PC wasn't recognizing it, well at least i couldn't find where it was.. i'm not sure why . the phone said it was connected. any ideas?
