treo 700wx wireless modem

    how do you install it on a computer so i get wireless connection. i have a treo 700wx and i pay for unlimated data already....can so meone please help me and tell me how to install this on the computer so i can get internet thank you.

    ok...your computer needs either win xp or win 2k (palm has not released vista-compatible drivers yet)

    go to this URL:
    Palm - Support - DUN (Dial Up Networking)

    Scroll down to the USB connection for the 700wx for Alltel.

    Download the file and print (or save) the instructions.

    Two things to remember: if you do not have the $10/mth feature for tethering a smart phone, you will need to add this by either calling CS or you should be able to update it on My Account.

    2nd thing: your device can not go into hibernation (where the screen goes completely dark), if this does happen, the computer will no longer see your Treo. To correct this, just go into your power settings and either choose to disable that feature or just remember to do something to the Treo that will keep it from going to hibernate.


    Also, your Treo will not be able to place calls or access the Internet from the device while it is in modem mode.
