What do you need to set up? The browser works without any special setup (just choose Alltel as the Network provider). If using VersaMail you need to follow theVersaMail setup procedures specifying your POP3 and SMTP protocols - but Alltel can't give you those.

If you are talking OfficeSync, try talking to TS.

You may need to flash it to an Alltel ROM. I'm not sure what's involved with CDMA phones as I'm a GSM man myself.

Smart Phones will not work on prepaid, because we do not have any data features to put on the Alltel U account. If you did get it to work, it would take your money on the account. It probably will not work even if you did put the Alltel ROM on it.

Data on a Treo is under a hidden menu. You could try changing the values, but it may or may not work. If you do change the values you'll need to wright down the original values in case it goes south. Does the Treo have an Alltel PRL already loaded? If the phone is active, you can try OTA activation choosing option 3. It should at least attempt to load the PRI and such. To take a look at the data settings, go to the dialer app, and type ##DATA(3282) and hit send. You may have to use #*# instead of ##. Another issue, you can research if you like, but I'm 98% certain you can NOT flash a PalmOS Treo to another carrier, unless you have a generic CDMA Treo. Look under the battery. If the serial number starts with "PTGC0" then you may have no issues flashing to Alltel. If it says "PTVC0" then it's for sure a Verizon Treo and I wouldn't recommend a flash other than Verizon.
