Well around Wed. my back got worse that night, and the chyropractor is all the way in maryville (past knoxville).. soo i just went to the dr, and got more medication (which is why I haven't been on for a day or so.. ive been in the bed). Well anyway, I went to olympia athletic club in alcoa, and got a 60 minute massage, and it was 50 dollars and some change. Not that bad, and it has helpped SO much... but more details on that later, im tired and im gonna go rest. Later, y'all!
It was great. My back is still in pretty bad shape (it almost makes me think I tore something?? ) but anyway, since it was at a health club i also had use of the locker-rooms, pool, hot-tub, whirlpool, steam room, and sauna. Now to see what the chyropractor can do to permanantly fix it......
Sounds like you had a great time there, Darryl I hope you feel better soon; back pain can get you moody too...
I used to think chiropractors were scam artist until after I had an adjustment after an accident, huge improvement. However I think that some will still try to extend your treatment longer than needed just to get the extra money. Of course this isn't just a chiropractor thing, my regular physician will do the same thing as well...He once scheduled an office visit (with co-pay etc) to tell me the results of my physical.
With my insurance, i had to get a referral from my regular Doctor to go to the chiropractor, and i had a hard time convincing her (not my cousin... he is in knoxville, so i dont usually go to him) to get it. I guess for some reason, they dont think chyropractors are real doctors, but if they can help me who cares.. lol.. i'm just glad they finally got a referral for me.
mmm hmm, yes it does... i was particularly moody the day i couldn't move my neck... i felt HELPLESS... i couldn't get out of the bed, and some people may think... he's exaggerating... but, i mean literally, i couldn't move my neck in either direction and whenever i tried to move it would hut so bad i was about to cry..... and it even hurt to talk. But, yeah its getting better slowly but surely-- thanks for the wellwishes andy
I could definitely use a massage myself. Worked six days this week and will have to do it again next week.
lol, mine sure wasn't free, but what from people have been saying I got a fairly good price. I wouldn't mind going for one every month or so.
Retail, so I'm on my feet for most of the day. Used to be sitting behind a desk but it got tedious so I decided to switch careers. My poor footsies.
they offered to massage my poor footsies (lol) but i asked her to concentrate on my back.. so they're pretty nice about doing what you want, but yea a foot massage would've been nice but i desperately needed my back done.
Would they charge less than $50 for just doing feet ? It might sound like a silly question but if I came to a massage place or a chiropractor, I would consider going somewhere else since if that price were charged for all massage types.
Darryl. I have a question for you. What is your PROBLEM? Not the syptom of your problem (back pain) but your PROBLEM (imballance in the hips, crick in the neck, incorrect alignment of your feet.) Or do you have an old back injury? This is a VERY good question. Better to have a CURE for the ROOT problem. than a TRAETMENT for the SYPTOM of said problem.
Ugh, I know how that feels. Retail can be a pain if you have to be on your feet all day Trust me, get yourself treated as well and you'll feel much better.
Dru.. I have no idea yet-- I'm supposed to find out as soon as I can go back to the chiropractor, he didn't tell me, it was just a consulation, first-time things when I went. All he did was ex-rays and things like that, so i'm not sure what it is as of now.
Hm, I dunno. There, it's pretty simple, it's not like a salon it was just a health club and thats one reason why I think they're easier to work with, the 60-minute massage wasn't just at one part, they said whatever, and i told them i had been having trouble with my back..
