It's that time again, and I'm up for a new provider and phone. I was waiting for the Samsung a530 but it seems like it'll never be released. Verizon has two phones that I really like, which is the LG vx4400 and the Moto T720.

I was wondering what the general consensus is on which phone I should go with. I'm really leaning towards the LG right now, it's cheaper and I've heard a lot of good things about LG. What do you guys think?

To me it was a no brainer. I read through a lot of the posts here and went with the VX4400. I've had it about 3 weeks now and am very happy with it. With the software available through this forum, you can even upload your own ringtones and images to it. It also seems to be much better quality than the 720.

I love my 4400. I have fully customized it.
I have heard nothing but very bad things about the t720,
but I would rather just say that I'm VERY HAPPY with the 4400.
Read this forum and you will see many that agree.
    Peace,
    JM

    The choice is this:

    1. A really cheap Fisher Price phone from Motorola

    or

    2. A cool, well made, $$$ is cheaper and gets more approval rating then the Moto T720

Yea, I'm sure it's different in the Motorola forum.

At the very least.. you can try the 4400 for 15 days and if you dont like it, then return it.. same w/ the t720.. no one can tell you what you should like.

OK I have had both of these, and there is NO comparison between the 720 and 4400. I had numerous problems with my 720, and non yet for my 4400. My wife and I both have this phone and she likes it much better than the 720 as well.

Don't even consider the 720 as a viable phone... It's, put lightly, a POS! Cheaply made, and has problems up the wazoo... I'm trying to get mine replaced with a 4400. Believe me, it's not worth it...

Here are just a few of the problems I've experienced:
Will not come off of analog in a known digital area (ever). But if I shut the phone off it will switch.
Screen is junk (seems to fade)
Has the build quality of a 1990 Geo Metro (sorry to those in advance)
Phone likes to lock up when using the alarms
    Sometimes speaker seems quiet

All in all, I would like nothing better than to smash my 720 on a very hard surface. But, I'll wait until I have a new phone first... [IMG]

You forgot the black screen after charging that the battery has to be removed to fix, and the ringers turning them selfs off, and mainly, the phone NOT ringing when someone calls regardless of signal strength.
