ill check and see. Sussex is pretty much an affiliate area Horizon PCS, so we dont get that site info on but ill look on my map at work and ask my asst. manager he lives in Sussex and keeps up to date on that stuff.

i had that happen onc ebefore- i had two customers come into the store i ran their credit and it came up as out of our coverage they lived up in sussex county in kind of a rural area....so i warned them that sprintpcs may not be for them since it didnt seem to work at their house according to our inranet maps........they said "oh no our friend comes there and her phone works great with spcs we'll take it" .......well they never deactivated so i guess they were right... ill take what i can get tower wise even if we dont know about it lol

Some of the zip code and map info at Sprint is outdated. Believe it or not they still have my zip code (and many others around here) listed as partial coverage even though the coverage has been complete since 1999-2000. I don't think they have updated any of their LA area zip code coverage info in almost 3 years.

You know, I think you're right. I looked up my address and it said "partial coverage"... but I have friends who come to my apartment with Sprint phones and there is an amazingly strong signal. I joked once about it, said that if that was partial coverage, full coverage might make their phones explode.

Yes. I've been playing around with the zip codes since 1998 and there has not been any changes at all since 1999. Even though they've added hundreds of new towers since that time they have not updated the databases to reflect it. They are doing themselves a great injustice I think.

Well the tool we have on the retail side is different than the maps on the website.......it is more detailed and gives locations of towers as well.

    -UPDATE-

Sprint has finally updated their zip code database info on the web site!! My zip of 92867 no longer comes up as "partial coverage" like it has ever since 1997 when Sprint first started here. I checked other previous "partial coverage" zips around here and they have been updated as well! It's about time. [IMG]

Yes, that was very nice! Wish it was up 24/7. It was fun to fool around with. Obviously all the areas in yellow on that would still not have decent service though.

Yeah that was very cool. I enjoyed palying around with it for a couple of days. By the way the new maps on the Sprint web site are now the same as the ones on that were on that tool.

sorry for taking so long. i pulled up both the zips you gave me and it lists mount salem as future coverage but there is coverage in that ny zipcode you gave me that is probably leaking over. no way to get a site list for that area as it is affiliate.
