One of the main reasons I upgraded to the Razr is because of its slim design - I hate thick phone as they create huge bulges in my pockets when I'm not wearing a jacket. I'm hesitant to buy a case because it will become almost as thick as my old phone. How easily does the outside screen and camera screen get scratched? I'd like to avoid buying a case for it, if at all possible, but I'm wondering how durable the phone is.

I keep the phone in a pocket 95% of the time. Neither screen has any scratches. I clean it every day or two (by breathing hot air on it and wiping it clean with my shirt). I am astonished how great the phone has kept. And the case itself is even more durable. I have dropped it twice, and only have one little nick to show for it. I used to have a Samsung and the lcdscreen got soooo scrathed and dull. Not this phone, very good quality. I have had it since last July.

The Razrs are very durable phones. My V3 that I had was dropped like 5 times in one night, and barely had a nick on it. No scratches on either Display screen...

I don't think a case would be necessary. (Altho I wouldn't suggest doing what I did to mine... it was an accident!)

I bought a case after I bought a faceplate kit... hard plastic... but not hard enough. It didn't make the phone too much thicker... I loved it... but since I hack things too much, I had to hack it... it was a black case with chrome metal plates... so I pulled the plates out and glued them to the stock body, the phone looks amazing... well it looked... too many finger prints and now a stolen phone.

I've never scratched the screens, and the very few scratches I've gotten on the housing were touched up easily with a black Sharpie marker.
