Yes, my favorite mantra, "I did it my way"

Just in case anyone wants to know, I am loving my 7 Plus, specially in the landscape mode, and wondering why I didn't go for the Plus to begin with.

@charlyee I've used folders for several years now. I have only 2 home screens. The second one (not pictured) does have some widgets. But mostly on the main home screen I group things I use most frequently.

Google (folder): (this came on the phone. I wouldn't have organized this way but accepted it. I use Drive, Keep, Mail, and more from that folder)

    Actg: (banking and service providers)

Calc: (I use two different calculators and one measurements app most frequently. The rest are just "easy/quick access")

Health: My prescription meds are increasing and keeping track is getting more confusing. So I have a pill reminder app that is very flexible. I also have the Kaiser apps in that folder)

News: I spend a great deal of time every day reading the news, switching between apps.

The rest I use less frequently.

Widgets just wouldn't fit the need.

Thanks for the details KJ. Interestingly my folders are set up somewhat similar as you can see. I only have one screen and my frequently used apps are mostly not in folders.

Decided to change my lock screen, my Iguana was upsetting a few people lol

I still haven't had a chance to use the camera, soon I hope.

    I have 5 screens!
Thanks for changing the cover photo, Charlyee.

Surely you can take a photo of your morning coffee or something? With your front lawn in the distance ( portrait mode style)

PS. The Peel case is winning.

What is that a picture of? It looks like something the wise ones from the Pleiades helped us build several thousand years when they bought us here :)

lol, nothing that exotic or mystical.

It is the Hampi World Hertige site in Karnataka, India. This used to be a shopping area specifically used for horse trading.

The amazing similarity of Hampi to Petra, Jordan caught my attention. There is a similar area in Petra which was a shopping area for camel trading.

Not my morning coffee but my favorite Dwarf Cavendish, portrait style, in our messy kitchen.

A month (29 days to be exact) later here are my observations:

It is all that I expected and much more. The two that jump out right away are the camera and screen resolution but other than that everything got a little spec bump including speed.

I have not been able to reach the advertised battery usage times but my off hand guess is it has an hour more of actual usage and about 5 hours more of standby time from the 7. Since I charge every day it's hard to say but I usually have 55% - 65% left at the end of the day.

The size appears to be just right, which is actually quite a surprise to me. When I went from the 5s to the 6 it was a 17.5% increase in size from the 7 to the 7 plus, it's 17.0%. However I had a heck of a time getting used to the 6 and hardly any time getting used to the plus.

The larger size also brings in the added advantage of typing in the landscape mode and then it becomes "magical" as viewfly mentioned.

So the moral of the story is I am in ️ with my almost new toy.

@charlyee: I wish you the best experience in the world with that phone.

Although I have staunchly refused to read any of rumors about Samsung's S8, I finally gave in a couple days ago to read that the rumor mill claims a 5.8" AND a 6.2" version will be next. First off, even the 5.8" is larger than the last iteration of the Note-series. This is insane (if it is true.)

I wonder what the Note8 will be?

Thanks KJ, yes the phones just keep getting larger. The next iPhone or at least one version of it is rumored to have similar specifications.

    I agree - insane.

If I'm not mistaken Samsung has exited the 7" tablet market, perhaps leaving it open for the Note? :)

iOS 10.3 upgrade came through finally after 7 betas. Updated the 7 Plus, 6s, and Air 2. The most noticeable is that Find My Phone can now find iPods.

MacOS 10.12.4 update also came through. Update the iMac and the MBP. The most noticeable is the Night Shift Mode.
