Tmobile Treo 650 help!

    MY problem is quite simple but frustrating. I've been with Tmobile for a couple of years and am not tied to my plan because at this point i've fulfilled my contract. I can leave at anytime. I've kept the service because it works ok in NY and the prices are pretty reasonable. However, I am dying to get the Treo 650 (which has been release on Sprint and Cingular both services that I've been advised against). I called Tmobile to ask if they'd be introducing the 650 anytime in the near future and was told that they probably would not be. Ugh! After all this waiting, they may not be getting it!

    The only other service worth anything is Verizon and they are 1) also Treo-less and 2) very expensive. Though if they got the Treo i'd definitely switch carriers...

    Anybody got any suggestions? Very frustrated... :(

    If you caled customer care, they are the last to know about upcoming devices and rate plans. They won't release the 650 in my opinion until the have EDGE service later this year. You can buy the Treo direct from PalmOne, but it is expensive. The next upcoming business device is the Blackberry 7290 next month or in April (that I have heard about).

    Tmobile told me today that the 650 is on the list of devices to be released this summer.

    It might be, but I would not expect the 650 to be released until after EDGE is activated. There are rumors ranging from April 1 - August 1 (at least) for that date.
