Check this one out.....it may take a few minutes to load (its 3.7MB) but well worth it...If you are having a bad day...hopefully this will get you to chuckle THIS LAND!
I just saw "This Land" on NBC's Today show. Very funny (I taped it for keeps). I just downloaded it on a dialup connection (48 kBPS) and it took about 10 minutes. The downloaded version was un-edited, as opposed to what was shown on the "Today" show, if I recall, but the editing was minimal, IMO. It's worth 10-15 minutes of your life to see "This Land" - give it a shot!
Me too.......but it is expensive.....$44.95 plus tax for Comcast High Speed Internet. If AT&T ever took away our internet (dial-up) deal, then maybe we would consider it....right now we get unlimited internet for $14.95 (since we signed up for it when we got AT&T long distance for our landline and IMHO....we got a good deal for it).
No offence but $14.95 for dialup is actually pretty expensive, relatively speaking. There's an outfit called Access4Less (.net, I think) that offers unlimited dialup for $4.95/mo. Not a typo; I didn't leave out a "1". The $4.95 is not an introductory offer either but you do need to use a specific website to get it. I can post the offer if you like (although I'm not sure that it's OK with the Forum Rules) or you can PM me for details, if interested.
My dial up used to be $7.00 /month. It's outrageous that AOL charges over 20 for that crap service. My DSL is less than $10.00 more than AOL.
I saw this about a month ago and couldn't stop laughing...I love when Clinton is like "what I do"....it's good times :lmao:
That was freakin' hilarious!!!!!!!!!!! :lmao: I forwarded the link on to friends and family to see. Thanks for the laugh!
I'll keep it in mind. If AT&T ever becomes slow again, then we will look for other providers, but right now, we are happy with AT&T, since if we didn't have this deal, it would cost us $23.95/month with AT&T Dial-up.
Yeah, your AT&T landline long-distance deal coupled with unlimited ISP is a good deal, bundled like that. But if a person needed a dial-up ISP only then anything over $10/mo. is overpriced, IMO. If anyone is looking for unbiased advice on choosing an ISP (not only dial-up) I would recommend http://www.freedomlist.com/ They have foums for different price-points of ISPs.
