    Larry, got your PM. Thanks!

WonderDude2k, under the SERO plan details, it says "Unlimited Sprint PCS Picture Mail."

I'm guessing that is SHOULD include pic mail. Can anyone confirm?

Also, for those of you who signed up for a new contract from the online site, did you guys have any problems getting all the features listed online under the SERO plan?

I read somewhere else that people were not getting everything listed under the SERO plan.

Yes the Sero plans do include picture mail. Picture mail and video used to be seperate things but now they are included together so the sero plans include both picturemail and videomail.

I was dumb and waited to sign up for this, now they have switched the free phone to the samsung a560. Last week it was the LG PM-225 which is a much better phone. Does anyone know how often they switch the free phone offers... is it worth waiting?

The LG PM-225 is a great voice phone and probably a little better than the a560 overall. However there are some drawbacks. The LG cannot be forced to digital roam like the Samsung. I've also experienced random power cycles with mine (phone will shut off and back on for no reason).

Is the Sanyo VI-2300 Silver for $29.99 any good? I'm looking for a no-frills phone for my mom.

If not, which phone in the $49.99 category is best: LG PM-225® (Camera Phone), Samsung PM-A840® (Camera Phone), or Samsung VI-A820®???

The LG PM-225 has the best earpiece sound quality out of the phones you listed. To me that's the most important thing.

you looking for a plain voice phone, a features phone, or a picture phone?

If your looking for just something to make calls, the sanyo 200 is fine. Looking for something with some of the ins and outs (ie text, web, ringers, screensavers, ect) then go with the 2300. But if you want a voice phone I like sanyo and samsung most (in that order). Not that the 225 is a bad phone or LGs in general, my hubby has one. I feel Sayno has better reception and Samsung, better battery life. Too bad they wouldnt get together to make a phone.... Hmm Sanyo recp, Samsung Bat, and LG on looks :D what a phone that'd be :D

OK, I just upgraded my phone (Audi PM-8920 to Sammy A920) and switched plans on Jan. 26 (F&C 700 to F&F 1000). I've been w/ Sprint since Aug 2004. I know I have 14 days to cancel/change if needed. Is this SERO offer available to existing customers? I'm hoping there's a crafty Sprint employee who can push the right button and make this happen. Would be glad to exchange #s for the $25 referral credit. Plus send a little "thanks" for helping me save money...Can anyone help?

Or should I go back to the store and talk to the salesguy who was quite helpful??

Or is this offer absolutely, positively ONLY for new customers?

    Thanks!!!

Just an FYI, you don't qualify for the $25 service credit unless you are a brand new customer with a new phone number that's less than 2 months old.

Also you have up to 3 months to change your plan without having to renew your contract for 2 years.

Thanks for the repy - no worries on the referral, I can live w/o that.

But any way to sneak into this deal without having to cancel current contract? I don't care to become a "new" customer again and possibly lose my cell # (my only phone #, btw)...

If the rules can be bent for this existing customer, I'll show my thanks via appropriate compensation. I'm sure this will save me money in the long run! I'll save $20+/mo from the PowerVision alone!

though - that's encouraging news. I'm in Seattle - any micro-chance you might recommend someone? If not, I'll have to return to the store and "buddy up" to my salesman...

Or any Puget Sound-area Sprint employees on this thread willing to help? "thank$" for your help is guaranteed...

    thanks!

Re: Check Out This Deal That I Saw Online

How do I know if this is available in my area?
I used to work @ Radioshack & the only stores in my area that could sell Sprint were the ones in the college town (Carbondale) & the one by the interstate (Marion). I remember the manager telling me if I wanted a Sprint plan, i'd have to provide an address local to them.
I've heard that Sprint is using VZW towers for their "no roaming" plans...is this true? If so, VZW reception is excellent where I live & theoretically it should work, yes?
Does someone have to be in my area to "refer" me to this? My VZW plan will be up as soon as this V710 lawsuit gets settled (I'll hold my questions about when that'll be over with for another thread). Could one get the A900 phone & use with this plan if it'd work where I live?
    Thanks.

Re: Check Out This Deal That I Saw Online

if there isn't sprint service in your area (unlikely) your sprint phone will just pick up the next digital service provider in the PRL. that would likely be VZW, alltel, etc. all the sero plans have no roaming minutes, so you could be in an area that does not have sprint and use all your minutes on roam and it wouldn't make a difference.

    go with it :D

Sprint does have native coverage however the Sero plans are not available in that area. Sorry. That area is run by an affiliate called IPCS and the sero plans are a Sprint corporate offer..

I need break in cost as current contract holding with Sprint. I am in the market for getting a new phone, preferrably A900. The current contract isn't due for upgrade until 5/06. Every rep. have every spoken to has been negative and can't or won't do anything to bend the rule for me. I seen some get offers on line for new customer. To come out of pocket (349.00), pay current bill or to even cancel existing contract to get new number is just ridiculous. I been looking into this since December '05.
