Is a Note 4 a good option for someone coming from the HTC One X and trying to go paperless? I like the idea of a pocket-sized device that I can take notes on. Most naysayers here appear to be those who have a Note 3 and are not impressed at the improvements, but for someone coming in from a regular phone to a phablet, is the Note 4 a good option to consider? Are there any others that I should consider or wait for?

Most Note 3 users that aren't impressed by the improvement are probably jaded because there is nothing really mind-blowing that topped it.

I don't see why not. I'm a Note 3 user myself and the phone has S Note where you can take notes... Also it can sync with Evernote (I never used Evernote and I rarely take notes)... I am taken in by the S Pen more than anything. On S Note, you can use the pen, or revert to keypad input.
Don't ask me about the S Note, I rarely use it (not because I don't like it, I just don't take lots of notes or lists lol)

Thanks! I'm seriously thinking of going this way. Right now, I carry around a notebook at work to write things down and in my old age, I'm constantly leaving it in various conference rooms lol....

Ah. You can record notes also. Or use the keypad with voice enabled input.

Cool I might have to swing by the AT&T store to play with a Note 3 to get a feel for it, while waiting for the Note 4 to show up.

If you are thinking of going paperless with a tablet or phablet, take a look at the video

I laugh every time I see this video too. Places some perspective.
