    Hi,

I turned 65 in March, just moved to Grayslake, IL and am considering various options for phone service. When I had cell phone service before I had Cingular and it was pretty unsatisfactory. I am currently living in a semi-basement apt. so I am concerned about decent reception. I am not a big phone talker so I am inclined to try a prepaid service to determine how much I use the phone before I commit to a contract and a plan. I am considering Consumer Cellular. Is anyone here familiar with that service?

    Thanks!

HI All! Glad to be a part of this website! I wound up here while searching for a ringtone. Before I knew it, I was joining the site. This is my first forums site, so some help in navigation may be needed at first to get me started.

    Thanks!

    Hello everyone!

I came across these forums while looking for new suppliers (cell phone distributors). I work in Ciudad del Este, Paraguay............I'm a distributor of electronics here in the city, I purchase from all over the world (whoever's got the best price)..........and I'm just now getting into the cell phone distribution industry.

Any tips and tricks of the trade with cell phones are welcome to me ears!

    Best Regards!

    Hi.

    Hello everyone,
I'm running a call center in Karachi, Pakistan(having a staff of 60). Basically I'm looking for those companies which are interested in making an abroad customer service center on contract basis or wish to launch a promotion through call center.

    Hi,

I'm glad to have found this website found while searching for ways to determine a cell phone's signal strength value and technology to improve/boost cell phone signal strength.

I was a relatively early adopter of consumer cellphones back in the early 1990's (my boss kept annoying me by borrowing my phone but not paying for any of it)! I've evaluated cell phone providers and phones for my employer, mostly from the perspective of broad nationwide coverage, fast broadband wireless service, integration of e-mail with MS Exchange/OWA (hence smartphone/pda category) and quality of customer service - not simply the lowest cost. I've also researched compatibility of phones and service/technology for incidental international use for a relative traveling overseas outside the U.S.

I am not thrilled with any of the latest 'touch screen' or 'multimedia' phones, and own an older model with a full QWERTY keypad, better signal strength reception than many newer phones, and is very reliable in construction (I've dropped the phone many times - and it survives). I've re-installed the client desktop software for my phone umpteen times (including whilst accommodating phone updates that caused complete reset of my smartphone/pda) and have used cell phone-link technology with PC's (tethering) way back when the speeds were 9.6-14.4 kbps "clunky fast". So I'd like to think that I'm a fairly knowledgeable consumer and evaluator of cell phones/providers and long-standing deficiencies in mobile web browser features.

What I'd like to see is a cell phone that provides e-mail integration to both personal mail and businesses (i.e., via MS Exchange integration) without having to buy a smartphone/pda/blackberry with the high maintenance, and expensive broadband/phone cost, nor having to introduce security vulnerabilities by implementing a client pc software e-mail pass-thru program or requiring a business to spend tens of thousands of dollars for an enterprise mail server/licensing. If service providers and manufacturers really want to make more $ through broader consumer base and business integration, this business e-mail integration without expensive add-in cost/technology would help a lot.

    Good day everyone!

Hello my name is Kyle I am 16 years old and just found out about this site. I have always been curious to what these poles were and what they were for and why there are so many of them. I hope to learn more about monopoles and cell towers, and hope to gather up some pictures around my area.
