Ok here's my problem. I currently have Sprint service. I am using a grossly outdated phone. The phone I use on Sprint does NOT need a sim chip, but it does have a slot for one. I have a nokia 3588i phone that I got from my sister. Its currently set up for use on the Cingular network. It does not have a sim chip but apparently needs one for use on Cingular. How can I unlock the Nokia phone to use on Sprint, without using a sim chip as sprint phones do not need them. If you can help me unlock the Nokia, PLEASE let me know. THANK YOU!!!!

Live about 40 miles N.W of Detroit in Waterford, Michigan and recently got here from Ft. Worth, Texas. Ham Radio is my thing along with Apple Computer. I repair and work on PC's all DAY, I figure when I'm at home I want the system to work for me!.. Well, Hey Ya'll..

Your welcome thread is a nice place to start, gives an idea what kind of site you're on. The only thing is, I can't seem to find any instructions on the proper way to go about posting or finding help with some of my questions. Personally, I wouldn'e consider asking for assistance a 'reply' unless it was a response to a direct offer.

Anyway, in case you can't already tell, I'm new to this experience (Computers in general). But, what I know is self taught through trial & error, (Many, many, many errors....) And, I learn fast when I can find someone to teach me. That in mind, here's my problem.......

I have a Motorola RAZR V3m phone, and I'm looking for the drivers, programs and/or software necessary to get it to communicate with my PC without buying everything people seem to keep trying to sale me.It's like once they sense you don't know what you're looking for, all of a sudden it's a miracle your phone even works without the extra $1,000 worth of software it NEEDS!

All I want to do is be able to upload/download photo's & music to/from my PC to/from my phone, I also have an interest in GPS technology & Services, but would be happy with just the ability to connect directly to my PC.

Can anyone tell me what I need to do and, where I can find it?

I'm glad to have found a forum like this. I look for missing people and sometimes I'm lucky enough to have information about their cell phones. So often just receiving an email or a phone call letting them know they are missed by their families will put an end to the search.

    Hi!:)
Retired Firefighter. I've had a mobile phone for about 7 years & have been with T-Mobile the entire time (from back when they were VoiceStream). Other than the info on 'howstuffworks.com' I don't have much of an idea about how these things work.

I an not really well versed at forums and don't know if this is something to add to this subject or to start a new post so I'll just ask.

I was directed by a search to your forum http://forums.wirelessadvisor.com/motorola/4627-mycellnumber-vzw3g-com-dead.html
it deals with connecting to QNC and Express Network on Verizon. I could do this with my Motorola V-710.

I now have a Samsung i760 and wonder if connecting is IMPOSSIBLE or if there is a way to change the phone to access it.

I had a trial of National Access and it wasn't THAT fast so I cancelled it to save the $45 a month.

The phone has wifi so I would only need to use it occasionally and so the speed is not critical.

    Any suggestions?

    Regards,
    FF
