You really should post that in a new Thread on our Cingular Subforum, there are many of us willing to answer that for you that don't get the time to read the welcome thread much, but to answer your question, yes there is, if you don't mind running a cable from your cellphone to an outside antenna. Otherwise a repeater is in the 300 to 400 dollar range and there's a few small hoops you'll have to jump through to get one.

Re: Wilson cell phone antenna damaged my Razr

Hi everyone, This is my 1st post. I just had to get a replacement for my T-Mobile Motorola RAZR V3 because after hooking it up to a Wilson cell phone antenna I couldn't get signal anymore without it even in normally 4-5 bar areas.
After a couple weeks it wouldn't work with or without the antenna.:censored:
I'm afraid to mess up my replacement phone by trying it again. Any advice?

    P.S.
BTW I noticed that I'm not the only one with this problem. Anyone found any REAL helpful advice besides the ridiculous idea of unplugging the adapter quickly?

I wasn't using an amp, just an antenna.

G-Day everyone. I am new here, and am a former Business Sales Manager with Sprint PCS that was laid off with another 10999 in 2002 after Several years in this business. I just came across this site from searching the web about starting my own wireless store/business sales business. Looks like a very good variety of information. It's still in the blood...

I look forward to visiting this site on a daily basis for news and information.

    Later...

Lol! I was wondering that myself. I have to get all of my phone numbers off of it first. I was thinking about keeping it around. Kind of sad to see it go.
Who knows, maybe it will be worth something someday... Of course, I said the same thing about my 386 in the garage. :)

    And thanks for the welcome.

We have a sub-forum for just those kind of issues, http://forums.wirelessadvisor.com/razr-phones/ is the link, or you can go to the main tree and click the Verizon Sub-Forum "Razr Related" it's also the same subforum under Motorola. Someone will gladly help you, there :) and :welcome: to Wireless Advisor

This looks like a great site. We are new to Verizon and to the Razr. Hope to find out how to have it vibrate and ring.

    Hello all:

I work in the industry developing cellular sites. I found this site during a Google search, and also found a few questions about tower-siting here in the forums.

Basically, wireless companies provide me with a search area (commonly called a search ring), and the approximate antenna height that they need within that area to meet their requirements for coverage. I do the rest.

I could build them a new tower, collocate the antennas on an existing tower, use a rooftop or perhaps even place them within a church bell tower. One way or another, I have to find them a site.

My primary work area is Ohio, Indiana & Kentucky, but the job is essentially the same wherever you go. Rental amounts for cell sites can vary by a number of factors, but lease negotiations, zoning and permitting are all very similar throughout the USA.

I'm happy to help out if you have questions. I'll only offer one piece of advice on my first post. Compare apples to apples. Just because the high school in a prestige community got $2,500 per month for their cell site doesn't mean that you will. If they're an apple, and you're an orange, asking for that kind of money will make them walk.

    Regards,

    Towerguy

Hi, I have been having the same problems. Tried many things these great advisors offered. Still no success. Finally called tech support for Verizon once more. They told me that it was probably??? my phone. Told me to swap it out. Did that today. Now will try again with the advice I have been told. Who is your carrier? Good Luck if you have Verizon.

I have verizon. I got mine to work last night by loading the Motorola USB Driver v2.9 that I got off this forum I think. I cannot figure out how to attatch it to this post. I looked in so many places, I really do not know how I got it to work. Verizon Tech Support really did not either understand or want to admit they are selling a phone with a known bug.
