Hi Everyone - I am in West Virginia and am sooooooo Lucky to be in Braxton County and have West Virginia Broadband as my service provider for my home connection to the 'net. Soon I will also be using their VOIP too here at home.

But alas, they (WVBB) are not statewide and my business takes me to all nooks and cranies as well as corners of our fair state - so I need a phone provider - now the catch. I want/need a mobile office that I get emails or go to secure sites to download and print legal size documents... usually over a hundred pages per document... so my "tall order" is a phone and phone service that can meet my needs.

    Any suggestions?

Hello - just joined because the world of cell phone out there is getting more and more complex. I need a trusted place where I can get unbiased opinions.

Now, how do I post to a forum :( ? All I see is the option to reply but how do I start a new thread?

    Thanks,

I am trying to find the best speaker phone available ... particularly one that does not cut out!! The other features I would like are caller ID and maybe a corded base and extra cordless handset. I would rather not have an answering machine on it. Can anyone help?:O

    HEY YA'LL

ha ha, after referring to the forums on this site several times to deal with "phone issues" I decided to go on and join, and I also have a question.

I recently bought an unlocked motorola v360 t-mobile to use with Cingular service. The phone is great, but it won't work at all in certain areas, where other people's cingular service is excellent. Right now I'm traveling and in Oklahoma City, OK, and I haven't had a signal since i entered the city. Cingular won't help because they don't carry the phone. I was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions. THANKS

    Hi all.

Wish I would have done a little more research and found this place before diving in. Not so much for individual carriers, but for understanding the technology behind each carrier a little better.

I am now a new sprint customer. In the end it was the ability to get 6pm nights that did it for us. My wife has an hour commute and will be making a lot of phone calls in a peak evening time. I never thought I would be a sprint customer, but in the end that was where our minimal research lead us. To bad I'll roam back in my home town of Rapid City, SD, but that's what "roaming included" is for, right?

Already introduced to Sprint "customer service" they called us to tell us that the guy at the store had activated our plans wrong (charing us a family shareplan on both phones). It was funny, the call was dropped as they were trying to fix the problem. When she called back I asked "Can you here me now?" We both had a good chuckle. Then even though she said the problem was fixed, I had to call back the next day because it wasn't. After all was said and done, after about 15 minutes total, it appears fixed and they gave us some courtesy minutes for our trouble. So, so far, happy. We travel soon and will be hoping for good results.

I look forward to learning more about wireless technology here so I am am more knowledgeable about the subject for my next purchase in two years. Sorry for the long first post. Glad to be here.

    Cheers,
    Stu

Hi and welcome Ladyhalfpint, it sounds like your phone is Locked to a carrier and it sounds like it's locked to Cingular, since you have an AT&T SIM card the phone needs to be unlocked to use it.
You can pay them the $25.00 which is an average price to unlock a Motorola phone & then use the AT&T SIM in it, the only other thing you will need to do if you go online with mMode is change the settings.
If it's a new phone I would spend the money to unlock it, it's a good phone ( I am also guessing you bought it on Ebay, right?)
