Ok where is it? I went to Nokia's site and I couldn't find it. I even did a search for it and I came up with no matches.

I sent a email to Nokia about this phone. It will not be sold in the US any time soon, only Europe, Africa and Asian Pacific in Q3. If you want to see it you must go to the European site of Nokia. Here is the link. Nokia 6610. I am waiting for them to show up on eBay. There have been a few but the sellers all have zero feedback and shades. I would not trust any of them, I will wait until sellers that are not fly-by-night sellers are selling them. Also they will probably show up on regular sales sites such as UStronics or other valid sales stores start selling them.

I found the email I got back from Nokia. Here it is:

    Dear Mike,

Thank you for contacting Nokia Customer Care.

We appreciate your interest in the new Nokia 6610.

Please note that the Nokia 6610 will be available in Europe, Africa and
the Asia Pacific in the 3rd quarter of 2002.

Currently, Nokia does not have a US version of the Nokia 6610.
Unfortunately, at this time, we are not aware when this model will be
    released in the United States.

As Nokia continues to research and develop prototype phones in the
United States, we will continue to update our U.S. website at
    www.NokiaUSA.com.

Thank you for your time and patience.

    Sincerely,

    Mark

Why does Nokia/Scandinavian and Japanese makers treat the US market as a bastard child? I mean if its GSM that we lack, they should realise that we have T-Mobile(2nd largest Wireless provider in the world), AT&T and even the SBC side of Cingular that are moving streamlessly towards GSM and eventually 3G. It cant be profit driven, cause we have the highest elasticity for luxury items i.e cool phones and we're no where near saturation as in Eurpos, Asia and Africa(gimme a break, i cant imagine they the Masai having precedant over a new yorker). Could it be our GSM 1900 is technically hard to develop for?

    According to NBC news:

"T-Mobile is one of the giants in the Wireless Industry. It is the 6th largest Wireless provider in the United States"
