Regarding Verizon suing Sprint, it is VZ (not VZW) that is suing Sprint. The interconnect fees have nothing to do with roaming, but refer more to situations in which a Sprint phone call might travel over the Verizon wireline network. This can happen even on Sprint-Sprint mobile calls if I am not mistaken. Also, which BB are you using? Pearl or did you get a new one? I am semi-confused as to how you are getting 3G on your BB, because the caller was right in that no BB is compliant with 3G. They are all EDGE, at least according to Phonescoop. Great show...Iistening to it on my phone every week now.
Thanks for the clarification on the Verizon/Sprint story. Make sense. And I'm not getting 3G on the Blackberry, i'm getting it on the Treo 750, using a SIM card that is provisioned on a BB account. I have the old Pearl (8100) that is most certianly EDGE. Thanks for your comments, I appreciate it!
And thank you for the clarification...I must not have been paying enough attention or misunderstood something.
