Chimchim, I believe they can, but I personally don't like the 3100's nearly as much. I got a new faceplate off ebay that is actually made for the 3120 by Nokia in a nice orange color - I've seen them in red, green, black and a few other colors. Just look for ones specifically for the 3120. It was a real necessity since my wife and I got the same phone and needed to be able to tell them apart.
