I'm finally ditching Sprint (long story) and reading this board has helped me figure out the provider I'm going with. I really like the T-Mobile phones and features, but given that I travel outside of major cities in the US alot, it seems that I'll have much better luck with reception using Verizon (at least until the GSM networks get built out) so I'm going to set myself up with a 1 year contract and a LG vx4400 I only found out that the samsung a310 has no analog feature...and since I head into the mountains of the northeast, and the west fairly often I have to rely on analog for emergency calls...by reading hear. Also, I'd never heard of LG before and hearing all the good things about them and this phone in particular made me pretty comfortable with this decision (unless i change my mind again of course lol). btw - i live in westchester and work in lower manhattan. I'm assuming I won't have any reception issues. I am curious as to why the 4400 isn't on the LG Electronics website though??? Is it a special model number for Verizon?
Actually it is the A530 that has no analog. The two color phones that I would consider would be the lg 4400 and the Audiovox 9500 Jack
What I do not like about the CDM 9500 is the long antenna, takes me back to the old days of the original motorola flip phone
The LG VX4400 that Verizon sells was made specially for them by LG Electronics. Its features "Get It Now" capabilities and is compatible with VZ ringtones and CDMA characteristics. Excellent phone.
LG is actually the Korean manufacturer Goldstar. You might remember them for microwave ovens in the 80s.
