So I am confused what is going on with Cingular text messaging. Every now and than my friend's text messages come through blank.... why? What really strikes me odd is, I get a text message alert just now and when I open it it is a week old message from my cousin that I already read, but when I go into my sent text messaging that new text alert I got was from my friend but yet it was blank. Thanks
I know a few people having VM & SMS issues around here as well, luckily for me I haven't, as for why it's blank that doesn't make any sense unless the person didn't realize they sent a blank one to you?
I've gotten a couple of text messages that just said "Message 16". Sometimes I get a "Network error" popup message after getting a text message. I've only had the Cingular account for 10 days or so.
I had text messaging issues when I had Cingular too. Sometimes messages wouldn't be received for over a week and they would sometimes also come over blank. This is Cingular to Cingular texts as well as Cingular to other carriers. People that have cingular in my area now still complain about SMS issues as well as not getting VM notification for days....the caller's side will ring(which I thought on a GSM phone means that the phone is actually ringing) but it never rings on the Cingular phone, then goes to voicemail and the Cingular user gets the VM notification days later....really odd.
I am waiting to talk to 3 different people I know, that I called this week & left them VM's (all 3 are Verizon Customers) and not 1 of them has called me back. I want to know if they got the messages & just decided to ignore me, which is possible if they were on Vacation or if there was/is a problem on their end as well. I know my sister got my message (she has Cingular) and she decided to ignore me till tonight. I know a friend of mine with Nextel has been having issues lately as well. I don't know what's been going on.
