I was wondering if you could configure the text messages to display the beginning part of the message rather than the name/number of the person who sent it. My last motorola phone had this setup and wasn't sure if it was available on the Razr. I haven't been able to figure it out so any help on how I can get my phone to that configuration would be great. Thanks

If I understand your question (not a given) I have my messages set to auto open. Messages ->Settings->Auto Receive (On)->Auto View Text (On).
As the majority of my text messages are from my wife with "honey do" lists it is a given who messages are from for me anyway.

Plus, it says IN the message who it's from anyway. I was getting so annoyed with it asking IF I wanted to view it, of course I want to view it!

Many computer applications (our Razr is a computer) have redundancy built into them that can be amusing or annoying at times. It is annoying when one has a dial up connection and you get an interim message asking if you "are sure". I want to scream at the programmer "Of course not, I just went through the ten steps to get to this point for the fun of it".

    Sigh.
