    Hi Everyone,

I am currently in a dispute with T-Mobile, and they are pretty much accusing me of lying about a service I had been received for the first year and a half of my time with them. I had been receiving text messages from T-Mobile when my minutes were low and a single text message when I first went over. T-Mobile is insisting they do not do this. The messages stopped when I upgraded my plan. A customer service rep I have been dealing with is insisting that I must have signed up for a third-party service. I never signed up for said service -- the messages just arrived.

Has anyone else ever received such notifications?

    Best,
    Judy

    :welcome: to WirelessAdvisor!

In the 2 1/2 years that I have been a postpaid customer of T-Mobile, I only went over the minutes twice, the first month that I had the service (January 2005) and this past April.

In both instances, I did not receive any text message from T-Mobile that I exceeded the alloted Whenever minutes under the rate plan in effect or that the number of Whenever minutes left was low.

    Hi EdwardP,

Thanks for the reply. Do you have any idea of what could explain the text messaging? I know I didn't imagine it, but it would help to find someone else who had a similar experience...

    Best,
    Judy

On T-Mobile's prepaid service (T-Mobile To Go), they will send a free text message to the customer when their balance drops to a certain point.

    Welcome to WA Judy. :)

I found information on tmobile.com that seems to indicate that there may be a way that you can set these alerts up on your "My TMobile" on line account management. ---> https://my.t-mobile.com/Login/?rc=&dest=http://my.t-mobile.com:80/Default.aspx

Link to alerts on demand: Unsupported Browser

I am a prepaid TMobile To Go user, so I don't have a way to check this out for you.

Please let me know if the information in the link was able to help you out or not. Thanks.

Do you live in Hawaii? That sort of notification was or is available to subscribers in Hawaii or was at one time.

I get text messages to confirm payments and stuff - when I pay online - or when my payment is late :) - but never about low minutes. I have been with them for about 5 years so...
