You will not be charged for texts sent or received from Canada while in the US. It'll come out of your message bundle. If you get a text from another country, say Jamaica, you also will not be charged. If you send one back then itll cost you $.35. From the T-Mobile website: Welcome to WA!
Yes, free incoming/outgoing texts only apply to canada. For another country like jamaica, incoming texts are free, outgoing will cost you $.35.
if you're in the us sending a msg to canada the rate is .20 it is considered an international message. If you would like to verify this information you can check here: https://www.t-mobile.com/International/LongDistanceOverview.aspx select Canada, and the messaging rate is there as well if you're in Canada or in any other country while international roaming incoming msgs come out of your bundle if do not have a bundle you are billed .20, all msgs sent while internationally roaming are .35
Asl clock points out... "If you have a T-Mobile messaging bundle, deductions will be taken for text messages sent between Canada and the U.S, as well as all text messages received, regardless of country. If you don’t have a T-Mobile messaging bundle or if you have exceeded the number of messages in your bundle, charges apply" which is CORRECT - I can VERIFY this - as can many people on WA and HowardForums.
I am not trying to argue but as a csr for tmobile for the past five yrs, I can tell you that tmobiles policy, is that txt to canada are considered international, however after researching this, canada is included in our domestic plan so sorry for the misinformation
Okay... so. While Canada is considered 'international' if you do not have a texting plan.... if you DO have a texting plan then SMS to/from Canada is included. Correct?
