Re: Emergency Hand-Crank Battery Chargers http://www.batteryuniversity.com/print-partone-21.htm Not the article I was looking for, but just as good. How about making this a sticky or FAQ
Re: Emergency Hand-Crank Battery Chargers Good reading, Rich. I learned some new things. Here's your sticky!
More good reading from BatteryUniversity.com (Part One): Is lithium-ion the ideal battery? Charging lithium-ion batteries
nice link Rich, but the one i always use to give users some info on batteries in the LG Forum is Battery University LG FORUM
FYI, Rich's link is for Battery University, it's just a direct link to Part One (the Summary Table > Do and don't battery table).
yes i'm aware of that, i'm the one that posted it originally, what i meant is don't forget to read thru all the subjetcs, not just the do's n don'ts.... there's also alot of good usefull info there also...
Tony - I never had a chance to see your original Battery University post but I recall see BU first mentioned here (post #26). It just seemed odd to me that you were pointing out that people should look at the BU page whereas Rich's initial post was already for the BU page (not the entire BU site). It's all good. And, I do agree that people should read through all (or most, at least the most pertinent) of BU's excellent subjects.
if you were to go to the old forums you would find the same link posted by me since last year but it doesn't really matter where it's posted or who posted it, as long as we have the info to share here with other members is as you would say "all good"....
Great article!!! I'm also posting it over at the Apple board...there's constant debates over the calibrating of batteries, charges and power adapters...
the site is good info. Although I have had Li batteries that have lasted a few months, most are going on over 2 years, no matter what charging method.
if you take care of a batytery, even if it;'s not a good oine, it can last for a long time, I've never had a problem with a battery, also, I notice that Motorola has to work on their standby time, especially on the newer models
