I searched but could not find an answer. Is paying a subscription fee the only way to use the sodapop mail client?

Soda POP Mail is subscription only. If you want free www access, you didn't search hard enough. Like half a dozen threads down.

Reading this thread carefully will get you online from yer phone.

    free web access for T720

You can access your pop mail and the web for free. Use WapTunnel as your WAP gateway. Goto http://www.waptunnel.com/ for details and then setup a Yahoo! mail account and enabled the POP3 Mail Access (ability to check another POP3 mail account with Yahoo! Mail) you can then browse to http://wap.yahoo.com/ on your phone

Thanks for the responses. I searched specifically for sodapop information and did not find much. I already use Waptunnel and Halebop for Internet access. I also use Phonefish, Mail2Web and Yahoo to get my POP3 mail. Although I like Phonefish, it only seemed to work with Verizon's VZW with MSN. Mail2web works ok with Waptunnel, but I have to provide my pop server, user id and password every time. Yahoo is ok, but again, I have to log in every time. I thought sodapop might be easier, but I don't intend to pay extra for it.
