I could care less about J.D. Power by now- I don't trust them anymore, but great article nevertheless
I agree, Larry, it does seem like it, but funny thing is a lot of people who have no clues about cellphones trust every single word they say.
Even if most people take these reports at their word, they eventually discover the good and bad of the carriers once they get service.
Well I guess that is how you live and learn is taking peoples advice and if it works good if not then move on.
The actual press release at T-Mobile's web site. As I approach my one year anniversary of being a T-Mobile customer (Beginning as prepaid counts too!), I'm very pleased to read this. And Matt, thanks for the link to the PDF, I know a couple of colleagues (who also have T-Mobile) who will like reading these results.
Without criticising the customer service of other providers, I think most would agree (even if they are not a customer of TM) that TM does have a reputation for pretty good CS. They are definitely better than the two other CS groups I deal with occasionally (Verizon DSL and DirecTV). I know TM has shortfalls (coverage being the big one but maybe now they are addressing that one) but CS is VERY important in all industries. TM has focused on an item they can use for differentiation, similar to the PCC coverage checker.
You are correct, Matt. Every carrier outshines others in certain aspects: - Verizon = Coverage - Sprint = Data services - Nextel = PTT - Cingular = Having the guts to raise prices! - T-mobile = Customer Svc.
