    Hi,
I currently have Verizon but am in a position to cancel my service because of a change in policy. Could anyone tell me how the service is up in N. CA, particularly Redding? Also, how's the coverage in Sacramento?

Service is pretty well along I-5 (used Cingular there about one month ago) up to Redding. Then it fades out pretty quickly going into the mountains. I neither know about Redding itself nor about Sacramento away from the freeways. Sacramento freeways are again covered pretty well.

I would asume that it gets weak going away from the main traffic corridors.

So I guess it depends how you want to use it.

I have been allover Redding, and Cingular coverage is excellent in and around the city. I go over there often from Ukiah. Since T-Mobile is using the same towers as Cingular here, there peformance should be pretty similar.
