I never thought T-Mobile was that picky. I guess I am not surprised, I know some folks who tried to go post paid had to put money down on a phone if they wanted postpaid service. Needless to say, they declined and are on different providers.

I guess if you want to be with a name label provider, it is time to pony up the cash. Now (if the credit is a mess) or over time.

Otherwise you will be using a prepaid brand or a prepaid brand on a brand name provider.

I would guess the other carriers, particularly Verizon, are more strict. I think this info on T-Mobile is out there because they are changing some policies to be more reasonable and want to tout that above the other carriers.

    BTW Quint101 off topic - Do you really have a 3-letter twitter handle? :notworthy:(y) - that's crazy.

Yes, I do have a 3 letter twitter handle: qlr. It worked for me for a long time.

I haven't had to apply for postpaid service in ages, but I've heard that the biggest two are the worst for postpaid service when it comes to credit.

Just the other day a friend tried tmobile and came up with a deposit. They went to Verizon with no deposit and the rep even tried to talk them into edge. Their score was 702 so tmobile seems very strict these days.
