I don't readily recall your last go-around w/ VZW, or maybe it was before my time here @ WA, But I do hope that it works well for you this time around.

Would you be able to glaze over your issues w/ VZW that you were mentioning to refresh my memory??? Thanks & good luck...

Wow, that is awesome! Thanks for that. I have yet to go into a mall that has an amplifier inside(at least that I know of);)

Did Verizon improve in your area?

I believe AnthroMatt had capacity issues, since most people in the area were using Verizon, but they didn't have enough towers to cover the area, capacity wise...I think that was it :)

I think it's cool too. If only all the providers had such sites, you would be able to see the BDA's for each of them in areas where they have a high density of people and low service coverage. T-Mobile is far ahead of the others with this!

I agree; BUT I'm sure every provider has maps like those for their employees to access...T-mobile is the first to have their customers access pages like those, which is great! Looking at S.L., though, the whole valley is green though, LOL.

The TM PCC maps have been updated and improved! I think it will be a few days before they are directly available from tmobile.com, but for now you can get them here:

Shizam, look at the legend, if I'm not mistaken the key says that digital roaming has those green dots, so in your case, there is no roaming in your area, from what I can tell.

I know.....I should have said "in general" the big map looks like it has more green on it, for roaming, then the previous one......but it could just be me.

    I'm still in a no coverage/no roaming area.....no changes here :(

One of the upgrades was supposed to more accuratley depict roaming areas.

If it's 850 MHz GSM roaming is not available,
even if there's 850 GSM coverage.

What's cool is that the displayed coverage has changed since February in my area. When I signed with T-Mob I was in a "best" area. Now I'm a bit outside. I would guess this was due to (I'm assuming) (1) changes to the antennae or, (2) recalibration/retesting in my area. Both of which mean T-Mob actively works around here doing things to their network.

Either way works for me as it shows they are putting in a days work guaranteeing my signal.

So did you notice any change in signal strenght/call quality since the maps have changed?
Maybe the old maps were not as accurate as the new ones and they didn't do any cellsite work.

I still find the maps to be conservative.

Last weekend, I was in Hampton, NH, about 1/8th of a mile from North Beach. Facing the ocean, my 6800 displayed full signal. The map shows that portion of Hampton in "yellow", defined as a good signal.

The PCC maps were updated last week. If you use the Compass site http://compass.t-mobile.com you can see the new tower locations in two ways. If you use the small or middle map image size, you have to be on the third highest zoom (or higher) to see the pink T icons for new towers. If you use the largest map size, you can zoom out one level to the 4th highest (10 miles I think) and still see the "T"s. The new towers from May-July (approx) are now highlighted with the icons.

Yes, the map is a "bit" conservative.

When I started with T-Mob I was listed in full green, but my signal fluctuated a bit.

Now I'm in-between green and yellow which more accurately matches my signal strength in -db on my Sidekick.

T-Mobile is gettiing my full business in December when I drop Sprint..I'm that impressed with their service, GSM quality and Customer Service.

The maps have been updated, but the data is the same. To increase readability (especially in fair coverage) all coverage is shown in shades of green. Also, the number of data levels was reduced from 10 to 5. I've seen a comparison of the two color schemes, and the details of the coverage is the same - the no coverage areas are still the same....just adjoining colors in the old scheme were combined.

I just checked this yesterday, & according to the updated shades of green, my home addres is showing as somewhere in the good coverage area. Before the color change, my home address would used to show as non-existant!!! Good Times!!!:browani:
