Now that T-Mobile and Metro PCS merged, what will happen to Metro PCS subscribers? Metro PCS is CDMA while T-Mobile is GSM. I've read in blog that by 2014 Tmo will convert Metro PCS to GSM. So what will happen to subscribers that have CDMA phones?
Wirelessly posted (T-Mobile: : Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.3.6; en-us; SGH-T679 Build/GINGERBREAD) AppleWebKit/533.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/533.1) I believe the plan calls for those with CDMA phones, to receive some type of upgrade offer, more closer to the CDMA network shutdown date, which was said will occur sometime during 2015.
I see. so maybe they will offer a freephone or a discount. I thought it was 2013 though. Read it in FierceWireless.
Nothing will happen all they have to replace their Sim Card with T- Mobile for future T-Mobile’s LTE and HSPA+ networks.
