I am desperately in need of a temporary phone. So, I bought a Tracfone to use. I put my Sim card in but it does not work. Does the Tmobilce Sim card work in a Tracfone.

    ahartry, :welcome: to WirelessAdvisor!

The TracFone and the TracFone SIM card are tied together. A T-Mobile SIM will not work in a TracFone and a TracFone SIM will not work in any other phone.

T-Mobile To Go prepaid phone kits are available in places like WalMart and Target along with their refill cards.

Depending on the phone, a T-Mobile SIM may work in a TracFone. Two years ago my mother purchased a Nokia 1100b TracFone for use on a trip. Once she was done with it I decided to check it out. At first my T-Mobile SIM was rejected by the phone due to a SIM lock. However, using the free Nokia unlock code generator floating around on the web I was able to generate an unlock code for the phone and remove the SIM lock. Great! My T-Mobile SIM was recognized and was able to register with the network. However, the TracFone's firmware still tracked minutes itself and deducted minutes even though it was not using the TracFone account. There were only about eight minutes left on the TracFone and when they hit zero I could not make or receive any calls using my T-Mobile SIM, my minutes "bucket" was empty. Short of finding a way to reflash your phone and remove the SIM lock, the TracFone will only be usable with the TracFone service.
