T-Mobile and Cingular temporarily pull Motorola RAZR Mar 09 2006 - 05:38 PM ET T-Mobile USA and Cingular Wireless have temporarily pulled the Motorola RAZR V3 from sales channels. MobileTracker confirmed the move with T-Mobile though a company spokesperson noted in a telephone call that the popular model is expected to begin shipping again soon, possibly next week. According to T-Mobile, there was a component issue with a limited number of GSM RAZR handsets purchased by carriers after February 1st. Motorola noted to MobileTracker this afternoon that the issue is related to affected handsets dropping calls and then having the screen go white and reboot. Customers with handsets that are affected should contact their carrier to facilitate an exchange. At this time the RAZR is still listed on Cingular's online storefront but is marked as out of stock. T-Mobile's store does not show the RAZR at all. http://www.mobiletracker.net/archives/2006/03/09/t-mobile-razr
My RAZR has worked fine for me so far, except the part about the dust,in the right light I can see dust under the display screen.
Why instead of bringing the new updated RAZR, they are going to bring the same old crapy old model back to the line-up?
Eventually they will release the v3i, but for now they have to take care of issues with the current model, that's standard whenever there's a problem with a handset, they are taken of the shelves until the issue is solved, same thing happened with the Rokr.
