Verizon is CDMA, AT&T being GSM will yield longer battery time than you will get with any CDMA carrier. People that you call may also hear more background noise on GSM than on Verizon.

Thanks for your replies, I just want to be able to have a conversation for 25 minutes without my battery going dead ( purchased an new one and does the same,) I have the first Razr. Also at work others get reception with ATT & Sprint however with Verizon my Bttry just runs down. Also I need one with a strong vibrate alarm so I can hear it in the Casino ( I am an old guy LOL) Also the att roll over minutes attract me, now we ave to watch the usage so we don t go over I have 700 Mins with Verizon at $69 including all the extras ... get a company discount .

The razr is still an attractive phone for what you're requiring, there are several other phones out there that would probably do as well but I'm not qualified at this point to tell you which would be which. Out of personal experience, stick around Motorola for GSM, reception and battery time have always been excellent with the ones I've had.

From one "old guy" (kind of) to another: If your battery is going down too fast, did you try a new battery? I had this a few times and a new battery fixed it. Also some carriers may work in one part of a building, like a casino and not in others. This is the case in Atlantic CIty, as I am sure you know. All the best.
