i know i've seen this here before, but i can't find it.... im farily certain it was possible but i was wondering if i can switch cell phones, my friend just bought a new one and gave me his old one, and i wanted to switch my number and account over to it... is this possible? does it incur any charges? i am the second line on a family share line... thanks for your help!
Login to "MY ACCOUNT" on Verizonwireless.com and go under equipment or something and in there you can change the ESN to the phone your friend gave you(the ESN should be located in the back of the phone after you take the battery off). After inputting the new ESN and updating it online, dial *228 option number 1 and you are all set to go. Doing this online will NOT incur any charges. Hope this helped.
yep yep and if you have problems feel free to post here for assistance. make sure you have your old (current) phone powered off once you complete the ESN change as it can interfere and confuse the system as to which phone its supposed to be sending stuff to. after you do the *228 opt 1 dial #832 listen till you hear the spanish then hang up and your set.
