    if i buy a phone at full price or buy an alltel phone from a friend and get it activated will it renew my contract?

    If you bring in your own equipment you will not have your contract extended. The only time Alltel will renew your contract is when you purchase new equipment at the discounted "contract" price.
    Alltel promises anytime rate changes with no contract!
