also check out the MS2xx series phones there.

its not in english. it will load with the StarTac 2004 presentation, then to the right of that, there will be the other phones.

i found the link on hofo..

    EDIT::

best of all.. their all CDMA. (the ms280 is cdma, the ms200 is cdma, and the ms150 is cdma so i figure that this is a cdma page)

I love how the Koreans try to translate to English, "LOADING. WAIT A MINUTE" or "Event & Party" or "Delight: Fun & Enjoy". I get a kick out of it lol.

But yup, cool phones... doesn't look like anything that will actually be released, though. Maybe we'll see them in a couple of months who knows.

The StarTAC 2004 aka SuperTAC will be available for Verizon later this year or early next year.

I thought the Startac and Timeport were the best Moto phones ever released.

It's good to hear that these phones will be CDMA instead of GSM.

I agree, the startac rocked. But the SuperTAC has no external display. At least the Korean version doesn't have one.
Party Foul, pass the bong to the left.

what i would like to see in some cell phones is the secondary display on the top. when i look at my phone, i have to take it out of the holster to see the 2nd display. if it was on the top, i wouldnt have to do that. as far as i know, the only phone out there (cdma world -- wise) that has it is the HUGE kyocera 7135 (or some model like that) and it comes with one flaw... it explodes.

come to think of it, when i had the v70, i bought an a/m holster that let you flip it upwards to read it, but i was reading it sideways.

    oh well... just my wishes.

    WHY?
I am from Europe. I love my moto´s despite they´re old and people say they´re unfashioned.
Unfortunately, people in Spain like the Nokia phones with their music and logos.
I personally still like those 3 watios motorola phones, remember?

Don´t you want motorola release a GSM make, or just don´t mind?

He meant that it's good to see that the CDMA side of the market isn't being ignored or relegated to 'red-headed stepchild' status, as it has the last few years. With the SuperTac/StarTac04, v710 and the Super710 (dual-standard) on their way, Moto's CDMA line-up should fill in nicely.

Moto has shown the GSM market a lot of love over the last 6-8 months, and continues to with the announcement of phones like the E1000 and the MPx. As for a GSM version of the StarTac04, well, nothing's written in stone. If the carriers want it, Moto will probably make it.

What kind of timeframe are we talking for the v710 and Super710?
(I'm kinda new here. Does the Super710 have bluetooth?)

    Thanks.

Agreed, a small along the edge with the hinge would do.

Maybe I won't defect afterall!! If this Bluetooth Startac 2004 comes out by this summer, I'm definately gonna stay with Verizon. All I want is a bluetooth (reliable and cool) phone.

What rumors are you hearing? The only reliable people I know of reporting a release date have always said Q2 to Q3 which would be in the late June to early August time frame. As I have been saying for months, wait for CTIA this month. I'm sure Moto will clue us in then.

Phonescoop is reporting the V710 will use the new flash memory for cell phones unveiled last week. I posted a link to the flash memory spec a few weeks ago.

Doesn't somebody have to paint themselves and run around naked if this phone is released by summer?

LOL. Yes, they do. Thankfully that won't be happening. Seriously, my brother-in-law's uncle's step-son's aunt's cousin knows a Motorola rep. Q3 2007. Though with some software problems already developing, Motorola is thinking about pushing it back to a Q2 2008 release. It's pretty hectic.

I don't mean to crush anyone's dreams. I'm just being realistic. How many times must this "New phone released and it's on phonescoop coming to blah blah by Q3 this year, oh crap it's Q3 and software problems have occured it should be out by Christmas, oh crap it's next summer and the phone is finally coming out next month" stuff happen before we all learn?

Will it even be called a V710? More like V7100.

SuperTAC, StarTAC 2004, new Timeport... I'm in heaven. I want one, I want one, I want one. Finally I can upgrade to a new phone in style.
Then I can retire my venerable old Timeport P8090.
