I am in an area where my Dad and granddad don't have great reception using Verizon Wireless. Is there anyway I can suggest to Verizon or in general suggesting locations for cell tower sites to wireless companies?

    Thanks

That's difficult to do, but you can complain about poor coverage in a certain location, and they have a good record of considering the problem...and a new site is not unheard of as a result.

You can complain and you would have to have others complain as well because they can't just come change sutff just for your benefit. It would have to be in change to benefit everyone in the area not just one person.

    Good luck with that.

Can you tell us the zip code of the area we are taking about?

Bottom line is: it doesn't hurt to let Verizon (or any carrier for that matter) know of issues you have with their services and/or coverage. However, I would suggest not thinking about it as complaining, but rather expressing your concerns in order to help Verizon better its services... (point is, be polite and respectful and not sound concerned with only your situation - but the situation of others in the area and how much they would benefit from having Verizon's service and coverage)...

Furthermore, I suggest writing a letter instead of calling or emailing... if you can't find your regional Verizon address, send it here.

    Verizon Wireless
    One Verizon Way
    Basking Ridge, NJ 07920-1025

You are likely to get a response if you spend a little time making your case in the letter... I have much of the same situation in my area, and so I sent them a letter (along with all of the other major carriers) and got a response from Verizon (I did not get a response from the other carriers, however)... But the regional Manager of System Performance actually gave me his number to talk more about the situation in my area.... (And no, I am not a Verizon customer).

So yeah, tell Verizon about the lack of coverage in that area.... and if you can, definitely get other people to do the same! It can't hurt... in fact, it can only help... if they get enough complaints, you could be looking at a new tower one day. Never know until you try...

Good luck, and let us know of how your correspondence plays out with them!
