That's a negative on the ringtones. But, in exchange for not having programmable ringtones, you have one of the best sounding, best constucted handsets ever sold. Sounds like a good trade off to me.
I agree. I just activated one in place of an LG VX3100 P O S phone. It's so much better,.....if the world wasn't such a gimmickry place now, these phones would still be hot.
I will agree with both of you. That phone is just awesome, it's the best! If I don't get a A500 soon, I may just get a 7868 instead. I have read mixed reviews about the phone with Sprint. But when this phone was released Sprint's network needed major improvements in a lot of areas. So I would think the network was the problem not the phone.
I've heard rumors of poor performance of Motorola equipment on Sprint's network, but I have no idea where it's coming from. My first digital Motorola handset was a P8767 on Sprint - it was perfect. I owned a couple of other Sprint phones after I broke it, and it eventually led me to Verizon so I could get more Moto stuff. I also have a co-worker and several friends who swear by their 8767's and in one case a StarTAC on Sprint.
