I just hope these Galaxy S phones don't suffer from Samsungitis...

It seems Samsung phones lack in strong RF. Don't know if this is still true with Samsung Android phones, but it's the biggest reason I would rule out considering the Verizon version of it. Just can't see how it can outdo the Droid X or the Incredible.

Would happily love to be proven wrong on this, but I'm just not convinced to trust a Samsung phone again, even these beautiful Galaxy S series phones.

My Samsung Moment has no RF issues...when the radio isn't busy locking up and not working at all. LOL

I looked at the Captivate, the AT&T version of the Galxy S. It is very well made device and smooth OS. I liked it very much and would seriously consider it if the full retail was not $500.

I have had very good luck with the only other GSM Samsung I had, the Blackjack, it had great RF and voice quality, I feel the same way abouit LG phones that you do about Samsung.;)

The last Samsung phone I had was the A900/M in probably 2005. It was just terrible. Bluetooth didn't work, reception was sub-par, and battery life was downright awful. However, this was half a decade ago.

Yes, LG GSM phones are the worst. I've had good luck with VX4400 eons ago and the Voyager for the last two years. Their Verizon phones are decent.

I forgot about the Blackjack. That was a good phone. Occasionally Samsuck slips a decent phone by...Occasionally being the operative word...;) :D

My old Samsung A500 and A680 (circa 2003-2005) were fine in the RF department. Haven't had a Samsung since then. One phone that was lacking in RF was the original LG Rumor.

My only bad experience with Samsung was with the a460. Everything else my family and I have used has worked well. And my Vibrant (Galaxy S) has been working great so far. :)
