Sprint's Losing Ways Linger

    It could just be coincidence, but it also seems like I'm seeing much less Sprint advertising recently. It's been at least a couple weeks since I've heard a radio ad, seen one in the paper (here), or seen a Sprint commercial other than during the NFL games this weekend which they were a sponsor of on CBS.

    I speculate with layoffs and fewer ads (unless it's just my perception), that coverage enhancements will be delayed for many areas, EVDO rollouts as well as new cell sites. Then, maybe as a final step if the company is losing too much money, then I think he'll finally start to consider trimming the fat in the paycheck of upper management. Between WiFi, Sprint's focus on data, and Nextel tower co-location, without even counting Nextel's issues, Sprint certainly has a lot on their plate and one would have to think that a lack of attention would result in some areas.
