So Sprint has a countdown clock on their site for some BIG announcement tmrw (11/18). See it here: http://www.sprint.com/landings/countdown/#!/ Any guesses? Will it actually be something big?
Well their big announcement is out. What does everyone think about the offers? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I don't care if they offer free service and a doughnut. I'm not leaving my legacy provider of nearly 22 years. My phones work and I don't have to worry about it. I'd go to T-Mobile if I ever decided to switch. Sprint is not an option for me.
@M in LA: LOL. Too funny. But I am surprised because "Larry" in Orange County, CA swears that Sprint is the best service in Southern CA. Larry and I have known each other for about 2 decades now. I would think that if Orange County were good, Los Angeles would definitely be good. (I was raised in Anaheim and went to high school in Bellflower.
From several friends I know who have had Sprint, they were not happy. Maybe they are better in the L.A. area than elsewhere, but I've never had issues with Verizon. I've never had any reason or desire to leave them. One thing I can say is, up in the San Bernardino Mountains, ONLY Verizon and AT&T work in Crestline (where I stayed for several months a few years back). Sprint roams on Verizon. T-Mobile doesn't work at all. Everywhere I've been (in SoCal), Verizon always works. I don't have to think about it. With Sprint and T-Mobile, I do. Maybe it's just perception on my part. Still, I would go to T-Mobile first before considering Sprint, no matter how cheap Sprint plans are. I was not pleased with Sprint customer service when I had Nextel. They were worse than AT&T. This is another reason Sprint is a no-go for me.
Sprint is terrible around here as well. I am amazed how Larry continues to be so happy with them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The only place I know where people with Sprint are happiest is in San Francisco. Not to take the thread OT, but 22 years, wow! I'm fast approaching 20 myself. A friend of mine is fast approaching 25
That is impressive. My first was in 1994, so I've only got 21 years. I'v bounced around: AT&T (bought from Good Guys in Modesto, CA), then Cellular One in "East Bay," but they were bought out by ATT. Then Cingular (only because I was issued a Cingular phone from work); then Verizon for a 30-day trial period (What an absolute catastrophe that was!), then back to Cingular which became the modern day AT&T Mobile. (At one time, Larry almost convinced me to at least try Sprint, but it never happened.)
I've been with "AT&T" from day 1. Strictly speaking, I was with CellularOne, which was bought by AT&T Wireless, which was bought by Cingular, which became AT&T. Or something like that.
About 5 years ago I working for a contractor who was using Sprint phones. I was setting up an auto dialer on an area rescue system and I couldn't get it to ring my Sprint phone. The Sprint phone had like 3 bars. I finally programmed my personal phone number in and it rang. Then I put the Sprint number back in and took the Sprint phone outside and it rang.
I started with Ameritech, which became Ameritech Cingular, then Cingular, then AT&T. Concurrently I have had Verizon and T-Mobile from time to time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
For me, Verizon and its predecessors have always been my primary. Had a second line with them about 13 years ago. Back in 2005, I went bananas and added T-Mobile as secondary provider (3rd line). Eventually, I ported the original T-Mobile number to Nextel (Sprint), which lasted less than two years before I moved that number to Vonage. The original secondary line from Verizon was moved to T-Mobile eventually (after I moved the T-Mobile number to Nextel). Yes, I had three active numbers at one time. And yes, I was a cell phone addict. After 2009, I just kept my main Verizon line and Vonage. Dropped Vonage in 2012, and just had my main VZ line until adding a secondary line again this past October. This also explains how I've cycled through 43 phones in nearly 22 years (iPhone 6 plus is #42 and the Lumia 735 is #43). My head hurts just trying to remember all that...
The 6s is my 19th phone since 11/2004. You are way ahead of me Mike. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Wow those are a lot of phones. Not sure how many I've had. When I look at my slim 6S, it's amazing how much it can do compared to my first cell. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
