I'm now working in a sprint call center as a supervisor. I will try to get any info I can out to you guys, as well as give any discounts and such I can.

I get a free line/phone out of this, any suggestions on which?

Do you need interent or Ready Link? If you want just a good basic phone with good sound quality and no internet I would go for a Motorola V60v. It's a solid performer from what I hear.

Don't need RL, but I'd like a flashy phone if I'm going to get it on the work tab.

I have my VZW phone for voice, I'd use the SPCS for a toy.

You could go for a Samsung A680 but I'm not 100% satisfied with mine. There are a few software bugs that need to be fixed and who knows if and when that will ever happen. But not everyone notices these bugs so you might be satisfied with it.

I would avoid the current group of Sanyos as the earpiece and keypads on most of them totally suck.

Still unsure about the phone stuff.

I have been in some of the internal stuff now, I've seen the rf map (very interesting), I've seen digital vs. analog roaming areas (even more interesting) and read some fun stuff.

They are very unhappy about their customer service rankings. There is a serious effort to "raise the bar".

EV-DO news too. Can't say too much right now though.
