They also are very good in Arizona. They have digital coverage where most others don't such as Bisbee, Sierra Vista, Williams, Parker, Kingman, and Payson.

Man, those are some pretty boondocks areas of AZ to have full digital coverage... though I do know that Kingman is right off the interstate, so it'd probably be helpful to have some towers there... I've heard of most of the other cities, but can't remember where exactly they are... Payson is way north, I believe... is that the one near Lake Powell?

I used to be wirth Cingular and was fed up with their services. There's a Cingular wireless store just down the street and I still couldn't get any reception. I am very happy with the Sprint service. Ever since I've switched I haven't had too many problem with the reception.

My only beef with sprint is Claire. [IMG]
And the fact that it costs $3.50 to talk to a customer care specialist.

It only costs to talk to a CS rep if you're on a clearpay or an account with an Account Spending Limit, as far as I know... basically, if you have no credit or bad credit, instead of requiring a huge deposit, they put restrictions on your account until you've proven that you're a good customer who pays their bills on time... and yes, Claire is flat-out annoying... But aside from that, Sprint is generally a good company. Yes, they have their bad markets and their bad CS reps, but doesn't every provider?

I think anyone who expects their phone to work in every single nook and cranny of every single city in the US and have perfect customer service that never screws up a bill is expecting far too much from their provider. Everyone makes mistakes... it's how they handle it that really sets one company apart from another. My friend has had billing issues in the past with Sprint, I'll admit, but they've adjusted off every single mis-billed charge without much more than him asking politely to have the problem fixed.

    Hey cryogenic,

You seem to be a great poster here. You should become a moderator in the future I think.

I too have to give my cudos to Sprint.

I switched over in April from Cingular (started with them when they were still called Pacbell) and haven't regretted my decision yet.

Previously when I was with Cingular, I had endless dropped calls, system busy messages, and areas where I never had coverage (I live in one of the Cell Phone capitals of the country, Southern California). This pretty much started when Cingular started their mass marketing after their name change. I finally decided to end my account.

It's been about 5 months since I've been with Sprint and I can't say enough good things about them. In five months time, I've had a total of 2 dropped calls. Their coverage has greatly improved since they first entered this market.

As for their customer service, I've had to deal with them on numerous occasions, and of course, there are a few bad apples but for the most part, everyone's been pretty helpful and most of all, patient. At one time, they even gave me a $200 credit on my account for a new phone (when I requested one).

I can't speak for the area you live in but I've been fairly pleased here. I did have the opportunity to use the phone on a trip to the Bay area and the coverage was excellent.

    Hope this helps.
