I have a legacy contract from ca 2003. 2500 for $115 that includes: • 2nd phone free and 3rd phone at $10 a month • Unlimited N/W • PCS-2-PCS Free for all phones • Vision Picture Pack free for 1st and 2nd Phone pays $10, although Sprint has never charged me for it. • My GF and I use (max!) 1500 Anytime minutes a month so we generate a LOT of revenue for Sprint. With my corp discount, this is a steal of a deal....problem is: I forking hate Sprint. Everytime I deal with them it raises my blood pressure and they screw something up on my account OR try to add something they mentioned in the conversation but I never approved. 1. Do I stay with Sprint and just "deal with it"? 2. Bail in December and find another Carrier who will give me a similar deal (unlikely I think). 3. Call Retention in December and downgrade Anytime minutes while asking that they keep my other killer Vision add-on's? 4. Flee to T-Mobile (Already have a Sidekick AND I only know 3 people on Sprint)? The bottom line is this: I know I have a pretty good deal with Sprint, even if I don't use all the minutes I pay for each month. So leaving is pretty hard to do in the face of a good deal. OTOH, Sprint is like a splinter in my brain that I can never completely forget about. It hurts at a low-grade level that I can never completely ignore. I think I will renew with SPCS for another year to keep my legacy contract but the thought of it makes me hurl. Comments? Positive or negative..I'm not thin skinned. TIA
I would recommend shifting over to T-Mobile. If they provide you with good service, why not? If you dislike Sprint so much, why waste money on them. If you want to be a dual carrier person (like myself), weigh other carriers and add one of them. Just a thought...
Sprint and VZW have the best coverage and network quality, and are about even in the Puget Sound area. The GSM carriers don't even come close. In my opinion, T-Mobile and Nextel are the two carriers with the worst coverage in the Seattle area. You also have an *excellent* deal from Sprint. I share your frustration with the poor customer service, but that's the cost of doing business with them. Nobody else can touch the deal you have, and only VZW can touch the network quality. If you're going to switch at all, switch to VZW--but be prepared to pay more for the same service. A lot more.
