Sprint PCS fails again!!

I have had my A500 for several weeks now. However, I am unable to get access to change my password on the SprintPCS website, and therefore can't DL anything or even send text messages from my phone. After numerous times of calling Sprint (and sitting on hold for upwards of an hour) they assured me the problem would be fixed this past weekend. Guess what? No fix!

Does anyone know how to solve this problem? Is anyone else having this problem?

Thanks.

No fixes. YOu have to wait until horrible sprint fixes their problems. I know it sucks so bad, I was a Sprint user with all the same problems and more. I cancelled and went to Verizon. GET USED TO IT, SPRINT IS HORRIBLE. I will never go back.

haha and Verizon is better right? Don't get me wrong, I don't like Sprint, I am with them because they have the best phones *bar none* for basic pcs Sprint is fine, sure Vision is a joke right now, but at least Sprint is trying to advance cell technology. If you want service with a good company, you'll be without a cell phone [IMG]

I have been with Airtouch, Verizon, AT&T & Sprint, and they all suck equally, it's just in different areas.

examples

Verizon : horrible selection of phones, horrible rate plans
at&t : uhh where are the phones? ohh the nice t68i never mind, wait... GSM only? isn't your GMS network
brand new and nowhere close to working well. Oh and crappy plans unless you want to spend $99 for unlimited minutes
cinigular: look at the selection of phones! ohhh a Motorola with a spinny face, well worth 400 bucks. Oh boy you'll roll over my minutes, too bad your plans are so daamed expensive
sprint : you want me to pay 3 bucks for a customer service call, where I'll be on hold for no less then 20 minutes only to be "helped" (I use that loosely) by somebody who probably is as clueless as you are.

when one of the other provider offers a Sanyo 5300 or any Sanyo color flip I will consider switching. but for now, I get very few dropped calls, good calling area and the most minutes for my dollar.

I love with the mobil booths at the mall tell me how they can give me a better deal then sprint

"2000 ANYTIME minutes? for 80 bucks, are you sure they're all anytime, it's probably all night & weekend"
"no, I get 2000 day or night"
"ohh... well we can't beat that, but those are night and weekend minutes anyways..."

the plan you guys are talking about is unbeatable you get 2000 any time minutes for 79.99 and/or for ten more buck you can get 2000 n/w minutes and/or for ten more bucks you can add a line/lines for no additional monthly cost.[IMG][IMG]

Well AT&T does have unlimited minutes for only $99, that is probably the best deal possible, depending on how many minutes you use. Obviously unlimited is overkill, but it sounds good [IMG] I love 2000 anytime, my old sprint plan had 1000 a/t and 6500 n/w. I was usually real close on my a/t, and the n/w sucks because they start @ 9 and my friends are all on the east coast (I'm in cali) When I get another Vision phone I'll probably not pay 10$ for vision.

Another thing I like about Sprint, they give you 14 days from the time you activate your phone to decide weather or not you want to stick with them. A few years back I bought an Verizon phone (think they were still Airtouch) at one of the mall Keosks, I HATED the phone. I called them to find out they couldn't*wouldn't* help me because I didn't buy the phone at an offical Verizion store. So I tried to cancel my contract, which was a no go because I had used the phone over 20 minutes (20?!?!?!) my credit is still lousy because of that heheh. thank God sprint will give ANYBODY a phone [IMG]

wow, i've had nothing but great success w/ sprint for years. their cust service is one of the reasons i've been loyal to them

what password are you trying to change. i just screwed up my password and couldn't access vision. i emailed them and followed the directions on the site. did it by logging onto sprintpcs.com and under profile and settings and preferences. i dont remember the exact link but it was to change vision password. did it and was back downloading ringers in no time.

Yeah, the huge advantage is you can share Sprint's 2000 Anytime Plan with up to four other phone. You can share sh*@ with AT&T bull-sh*@ Unlimited plan.

Jbird, Verizon is really moving in the right direction with new phones, look at the VX-10, A310, T720, and in the near future, theres a lot of new color flip phones with new technology coming out also. ALso, in my opinion, the rates arent bad. Maybe they came out with new ones?

Sprint was a joke. Vision or no vision. I know from experience. Reception was fine and plans were great, but I've never encountered more frustration/problems in 2-3 weeks in my life before I acitveated my account. I had an A460 with Tons of problems on my account they couldnt fix, so I upgraded to Vision to try and start over. I had even more problems that, guess what, they COULDNT FIX. Thats not having a phone, thats WAITING to use your phone after you paid for it. Sprints Customer service is the most ridiculous excuse for CS I've ever had the misfortune of calling 20 times in my life. On average you wait (in my cases) over 40 minutes and the Reps almost all the time can't help you and are rude. YOu may enjoy Sprint, and good for you, but I will NEVER go back.

I cant believe theres actually someone out there with sprint that is satisfied. The only reason I see for anyone getting sprint it they have the best phones. I dont know what there service is like in california, but in dallas they are the worst provider out there. Me as well as about 15+ of my friends have all had sprint at one point or other. I had just switched over from cingular (southwestern bell wireless at that time) and could not believe the amount of dropped calls i was getting. Also I in many cases got voicemails days after they were sent. These problems were not unique to me as none of my friends have sprint now. I went back to cingular for a while and now im with verizon(in my opinion the best in the dallas area). And dont tell me how sprint is forwarding technology while others arent. Verizon came out with BREW (now called "get it now") before sprint came out with vision. Just that sprint went national sooner (by a couple months), and look what good it did them? Vision is a headache right now while "get it now" works flawlessly nationwide.

p.s. how is 2000 anytime minutes for 80 freakin bucks a good price??? Especially when T-mobile (formerly voicestream) offers 3000 anytime minutes for 49.99.

Personally im satisfied with my 900weekday and unlimited night and weekend minutes for 49.99

Once again, Sprint aggrivates me and costs me more money, and I'm not even with them anymore! I just got a *NEW* Sprint bill even though I cancelled a month ago. They charged me $180+ (including the $150 Cancellation fee the store manager promised would be dropped). I had to call up SPrint yet again and get them to drop the cancellation fee along with monthly fee. THe result? I Still have to pay $13.50 For extra charges I didnt use!!!!!! [IMG] Sprint wont drop these other. I F*CKING HATE YOU SPRINT!

well sprintpcs guy, maybe you can tell all of us babies why we cant log into the sprint pcs vision website. perhaps you can explain to me why sprint asks me to go into my account settings and prefrences to assign my password and there is no icon or link to go to. granted i have been fortunate enough to have a customer rep tell me that they are having touble working out the bugs in the system instead of sending me on some wild goose chase. second, i am lucky enough to be able to log in using my phone. on the other hand, I just learned from some higher ups at sprint that the pcs vision thing is all $#%#ed up and they can not figure out why.

I am psyched that sprint pcs is trying to pave the way for cellular communications and try new things but expect people to _____ when they are paying hard earned money for stuff that isn't working and for customer reps not providing hardly any assistance.

I think you hit the nail on the head when you said
, or maybe its because you work for SPRINT and you are on the inside track.

I have had, for the most part, trouble free service, but on the other hand I know a lot of people tht have gotten the raw end of the deal and are fed up with sprint $%$@. With that said, I guess I will just have to go and cry myself to sleep since we are just a bunch of whinning babies that need our hands held becouse we don't get what we pay for.

I'd have to agree with this guy, not because I work for Sprint also, but because you're all complaining about a WIRELESS device - something you can take with you ANYWHERE. I've had a wireless phone for ten years. I had a Nokia 232 from GTE (now Alltell) - It worked fine. I had a Qualcomm 820 & 860 (I have a complaint about the 860, obviously battery life, and no way of shutting off a reminder alert), Motorola Star Tac, all from AirTouch (now, Verizon). And then from Sprint, I've had the Kyocera 2035 (formerly Qualcomm), and now Samsung's N400. I don't remember plagueing about any of these phones. I'll admit the N400's speakerphone isn't the best, but you can't expect it to be the best with all of the other features it has. Instead of complaining all day, just look at the true coverage and choose your carrier. There's so much hate mail out there, that it's rediculous to complain all day. What do you guys do with your phones for them to be so bad? It's plain and simple - There is no supreme carrier. When I worked for Verizon, everybody complained about all of the other carriers and #1 was nobody, all the same. Now that I work for Sprint, the story's the same, although we activate more people than other carriers (it's a fact out there, read it sometime), so we must be doing something better than the rest of the guys.

These are my opinions and not the opinions of the companies I have worked for, nor am working for. Some of you need to get a life and quit complaining.

well checking my hotmail is very important to me for business reasons. so the fact that i cant do it does bother me. yeah yeah i know its new. but i can even log on using wireless web. i think having both options would be nice. fall back on wireless web when vision is down. if they were just phones, sprint wouldn't be pushing vision like it is. cell phones have already become more than cell phones and will continue to do so.

You can get it this way too:

2000 anytime $79.99
2000 n/w $10.00
2000 Pcs Pcs $10.00

All for $99.99

and Then if you are able to add more than 1 phone (exceptions being C credit Class which allows 2 phones, but remains on $200 Spending Limit) You can have the 2nd phone share minutes for not Charge, and the 3-5 (if applicable) for $20 each

this doesn't surprise me. SPRINT SUCKS BIG TIME. i got the sanyo 5150 in january...they kept saying that the wireless web kit would be available "soon". KNOW what?? soon never came...i'd keep checking the Sprint site...the kit was never "available"...saying it was "sold out". i kept calling sprint to get an ETA...they NEVER knew anything, except to say that it was shipped an on its way. I went through this for 6months. Then i finally had to get a friend to ship the web kit to me...last I looked was in August and the kid was still "sold out".

Sprint should just admit they advertised something that they really didn't have. THey sold the phone w/picture capability..but that was 1/2 of it. You NEED the kit to use the phone to its fullest capability and thats were they failed. Somehow-someway....they did not do that, thus leaving customers frustrated that they bought a $300 phone for features they cannot even use.

DOn't even try to defend them.

THey simply suck.

Their bills are not even clear. Its like trying to read some ancient language.
Why can't it state simply what each of the charges are. And why aren't our minutes updated via the web when our plans change????? Why do the reps (who we have to wait 30-40 minutes for -- know this) and not us??? I think they are a scam in that sense as well.

1st they change your plan...and won't let you view how many actual minutes you've used, thus leaving you in limbo and potential overage at $.40 a minute.
2nd because they sold a phone which they cannot even provide the kit for....a phone that costs $300. So the A500 experience does not surprise me.

Whats appalling is that they claim to have great service on TV, yet when it comes to meeting the expectation they have set -- you know what ?? THEY FAIL !!!

Even more so...why are we charged airtime usage when checkign out account balance?? That should absolutely be a free service. THats like being charged by your primary bank to check your account balance when your at the teller window or their ATM -- how aburd is that?? They try to MILK everything out of their customers!!! YES THEY DO!!! I continue to have this expereince w/them...and then their service reps jump to their defence as if their fighting a war and will fight to the end.

GIve me a break...just admit you are inferior at meeting the expectations that your marketing/advertising depts. have created.
Just admit that you are just cheats...and will milk every penny out of us and then i can live w/that...but don't act like your "honest" w/questionable practices constantly being documented, etc.

Sprint SUCKS!!!! Friday October 04, 2002 4:17 PM

AVOID SPRINT AVOID SPRINT AVOID SPRINT AVOID SPRINT AVOID SPRINT AVOID SPRINT

It's a wonder that I've kept Sprint for the last 2 years, it's the worst carrier in the state of South Carolina, I'd avoid all new residents to the area to AVOID SPRINT.

I'm on my second Sprint phone, a SPH-A400. The phone is good--compact, attractive, versatile. The problem is Sprint. First, I cannot get reception in my apartment unless if I sit in the corner of my bedroom with my face in the direction of the corner! I also can't get a signal if I'm in my office. Mind you, this means I can't RECEIVE or MAKE calls when I'm in these areas, which is 95% of the day. Additionally, I get most voicemails 1-4 hours after they're sent.

I'm only on the plan b/c I'm switching jobs and relocating up north. You can bet your life savings that when I move next month I won't be shopping for another Sprint plan.

Does anyone want a Samsung SPH-A400, with earbud and phone charger?

I am a Verizon lead tech support rep in southern california and I just got a good laugh of how many people hate sprint. Now regarding the comments in an earlier posts about SPRINT activating more people than anyone else..... well, it may be true, but as many people they sign in, many disconnect, so no matter if you sing up thousands; that many are deactivating. Verizon does not bring as many customers, but we have the lowest CHURN rate of any carrier (churn=deactivations) because we focused our efforts on customer service and network quality (haha, i sound like a verizon commercial). I had a sprint phone before, and I disconnected after 5 years with them because i could not use web features on my phone. And "I" told the techs at sprint what the problem was, and they had no idea of what I was talking about. It is sad that there are customers out there who have to wait up to an hour to speak to a rep on Sprint, only for them to not know anything. Seems to me that if it wasnt for the "cool" phones Sprint has, they be out of business by now, or Verizon wouldve bought'em out. Dont get me wrong, my company is also full of reps that are misinformed or clueless (that happens with any big company) but we make it a point to get the employees on the same level to help the customers better.
Oh well, if only Verizon had better phones.... but that is about to change early next year..... you will see..

Dude, thats BULL CRAP plain and simple. Verizon has a low churn rate because they have less CREDIT CHALLENGED customers.. Sprint made the mistake of going after a bunch of losers that don't know how to pay their bills! Which probably half the Losers on here that complain of Sprint all the time, were probably the one I am speaking about. Customer service reps are not trained on the Technical side of things.. thats why we have "Trouble Specialist" who will try to Trouble shoot the problem, to find out wut it is, then issue a Trouble Ticket for the REAL guru's that went through college to LEARN how to do all the technical stuff. Basic Customer service is there to just explain the bill to people who can't do basic math or read. and if Sprint didnt make the mistake of going after credit challenged people, are hold time would be lower, because they are 90% of the calls we get becuase they are DUMB! plain and simple! Verizon would have the same problem if they went that route.. I bet most of the call in verizon customer care are mostly from th people who had to pay BIG deposites.

Well guess what dude, try reading the Terms and Agreements of service for Sprint PCS.. You got of lucky! When you cancel within 14 days the only think that is SUPOSSEd to be waived is the Cancelation Fee. If you use you for for even ONE minute, you agree to those terms, and you are liable for the MRC, the NON-Refundable Activation fee, and whatever charges you incurr up to the point your account is canceled. And you know you made the charges dude... you just want everything for FREE. You were probably a Clear Pay customer too, they always think they should get everything free.. IF you can't afford to pay you bills, you DON'T need a freakin cell phone!

WELL THAT WAS YOUR DUMBA$$ FAULT, NOT SPRINTS.. YOUR PROBABLY ONE OF THOSE POPLE WHO RUSH OUT AND BUY A NEW WINDOWS VERSION AND COMPLAIN ABOUT THE BUGS TOO.. WITH *ANY* NEW SERVICE, YOU SHOULD EXPECT SOME BUGS, AND WAIT BEFORE BUYING, TILL MOST OF THEM ARE WORKED OUT. I AGREE SPRINT SHOULD HAVE WAITING A LITTLE LONGER, BUT THEY HAD ALREADY BACKED THE LAUNCHED DATE UP 2 OR 3 TIMES. THEY HAD TO DO IT IN AUGUST TO BE THE FIRST TO LAUNCH 3G SERVICES NATIONWIDE.

its not so much that we're bitching about a *cellphone* - its the fact that we're paying for a service, with the expectation that the service we are *PAYING* *FOR* will work. it is why we pay for it. i pay a lot every month for my Sprint service, as well as the 3 phones i've purchased in the past 9 months. I got the N400, because of the promised features, and the previous experience i have with samsung phones (n200 prior to my n400) and ive been let down time after time. im paying for service. im not paying for service that i can use some time, or not completely, or not at all. i too am not able to access the vision portion of the site, which isnt a huge deal for the fact that i have 40 megs of data trans./month, but just the same, i'd like to HEAR the ring tones that im paying a dollar a piece for. yes, its only a dollar. but only a dollar on either 1.) a ring tone that is just horrible, or 2.) downloading ~10 ring tones, thats 10 bucks, plus tax - and who knows if its any good, i cant hear it till i have downloaded it already. also the screensavers etc., cant see them till i downloaded it already. useless.

i think it strange so many people are having problems. I do not have one problem with mine. possibly you were setup wrong.. email your spcs account # or Cell #, and i will check on it at work. sprintpcsguy2002@yahoo.com

A problem we notice which is causeing problem is the order in which the ESN change and plan change have been done. not doing them in the right order will cause provisioning problems.
